A couple of weeks ago we decided it would be fun to hike up to Cecret Lake in Little Cottonwood Canyon. We made it about half way to the lake when we decided that due to inclement weather, we should probably turn back. Oh well, we will try again some other time.
We did get to see some amazing wild flowers.
Matt was unimpressed with the whole thing, preferring to sleep all the way through.
We finished the evening off with a picnic in the back of the car. Nothing like a strenuous ride on dad's back to work up your appetite.

Okay I'm still in shock...I canNOT believe I finally found you guys! I guess you had a severely outdated email address of mine, because I was about to end the thing (too much spam, never checked it) and I saw your blog link you sent out, oh, about 10 years ago (or something of the sort). YOU HAVE 2 KIDS! Where have I been?????

I love Abby's smile. Forget Cecret Lake, it seems like enough of an adventure to get two young kids out on a hiking trip.

Cecret Lake is great! Quite the ambitious outing with 2 young ones. We went a couple of years ago and I think the only picture we have of us at the top is one Layne took with me and the kids - while I was nursing Rachel!! Nice family memory! Yikes!
Let's do a hike together sometime. I don't think we've ever done anything with your family before. (I promise I will NOT nurse any children while we're together - although, Matt is welcome to eat (drink) whenever/wherever/whatever he would like.)
